The
members present at the June 7, 2003, luncheon meeting voted to change
the Chapter’s name from The New Hampshire Chapter of The Retired
Officers Association to the New Hampshire Chapter of the
Military Officers Association of America, and to amend the by-laws
to reflect this change. The vote was 81% in favor of changing the
name, which will become effective on August 1, 2003. We are busy
preparing the necessary paperwork to file with the NH Secretary of
State’s office and the IRS to reflect the name change.
If you have a TROA name tag and wish to purchase a new MOAA name tag, please contact Ed Warfield. The only difference between the name tags is the lettering across the shield. The new ones have “MOAA” across the shield in place of “TROA.” Many members have stated that they want to continue wearing their “TROA” name tags and that is perfectly acceptable. If you have any questions about the name change, please contact Paul L. Bernard at (603) 229-1334 or by e-mail at pbernard@attbi.com |
