Books The Chapter now is supporting nineteen students, eight of whom will graduate this academic year.  Ten students are eligible to re-apply for loans in the 2003-04 school year.

Chapter members were very generous in supporting this program over the past year, which means that the Scholarship Committee can continue to grant loans of $1,500 per student per year.  These scholarship loans are available to children and grandchildren of Chapter members.  No interest is charged, and repayment is not required until six months after completion of studies.  The repayment rate is 1/50th of the loan per month.

Chapter members who would like more information or an application should contact COL Cal Hosmer at (207) 363-2396, or write to him at P.O. Box 175, York, ME 03909-0175.  His e-mail address is  Application for the 2003-04 academic year must be received no later than June 15, 2003.

Just to remind everyone, we are returning to the Mount Washington Resort for a social weekend September 12 to September 14, 2003!  We have arranged for the Chapter to once again journey to the White Mountains for a weekend of fun and relaxation as we did in 1998.  This time we have booked the entire Brenton Arms Inn, a quaint Victorian Inn adjacent to the main hotel, for Friday night and the majority of rooms for Saturday night.  We are planning another golf outing for Friday afternoon and a tennis tournament Saturday morning.  This will be in conjunction with the regular Fall Meeting and Luncheon in the grand ballroom on Saturday, September 13, 2003.  Make sure you set aside that weekend on your calendar for this very popular event!
