Five High School Seniors will begin college this year, and are receiving loans.  They are:

Shawn Blaine, grandson of Ralph Blaine, entering his Freshman year at the University of West Virginia in Morgantown, West Virginia.

John Burdett, son of Peter Burdett, entering his Freshman year at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

Daniel Malconian, son of Ann Malconian, entering his Freshman year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.

Tyler Newton, son of Barbara Newton, entering his First year at MacIntosh College in Dover.

William Sheridan, grandson of Daniel Sheridan, entering his Freshman year at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.

THESE STUDENTS ARE THE FUTURE AND THEY NEED OUR HELP.  PLEASE HELP SUPPORT YOUR CHAPTER'S SCHOLARSHIP LOAN PROGRAM.  THE GOAL IS TO RAISE $5,000 AGAIN THIS YEAR.


Convention
The New York State Council of Chapters (MOAA) is holding its 31st convention on October 9, 10, and 11th at the Ramada Inn, Syracuse, NY.  The Council has cordially invited members of the NH Chapter to attend their convention. 

The basic registration is $25.00, plus $79 per night if you stay at the Ramada Inn.  The full registration package includes tours, a clambake on Friday night and a banquet on Saturday night and is $150 per person plus $79 per night at the Ramada Inn.  The registration deadline is August 12, 2003.  For additional information or a registration form, contact Ken Nilsson, LCDR, USN (Ret) at (315) 343-3075; Chuck Butterfield, Col, USAF (Ret) at (315) 453-7080; or Richard Meinking, CW04, USA (Ret) at (315) 652-5575.
